A Lidl investment shows a lot of confidence
Investment property in Bulgaria is in abundance & for the right price, location, and investor, bargains are to be had. All three criteria seem to have melded as Germany’s discount supermarket Lidl has just signed a substantial deal in the city of Plovdiv.
Lidl Bulgaria have purchased a plot worth over 2 million euros, as the company falls in with other major developers in expanding the country’s infra structure as supermarket & mall construction take off.
The retail chain has other new build sites spanning Lovech, Pleven & Silistra. The Plovidiv site is set to develop and enhance the Trakia Retail park, and many hope the value of surrounding properties may well rise as a result.
Many western Europeans have been reluctant in buying property in Bulgaria in recent times, thought to be the result of misconceptions about Bulgaria’s emerging economy.
However, Lidl’s investment and continued growth in Bulgaria is yet another example of a confident and capable European member.
