Birmingham sunshine beams down on Spain
The NEC Birmingham recently hosted the ‘Place in the sun’ exhibition, to better than expected attendance, with Spain being described as a clear favourite by many visitors.
Property prices in Spain are seen by most as being just about at rock bottom & it would seem that many UK investors are now emerging from their shells & looking for the right investment opportunity.
Over 60% of attendees at the event were focused on looking for a property in Spain, given the massive property surplus the country now has together with reduced market values.
An important consideration for many is the location of any new purchase in respect to its proximity to a main airport. Many airline operators have fallen by the wayside in the global gloom & many Spanish airports have seen vastly reduced services, making second home access incredibly difficult at times.
However, Malaga airport continues to thrive with dozens of UK flights daily. It’s expected that Malaga will be one of the first regions to experience a surge in investment, & investors should strike while the iron is hot.
