British buyers prepared to pay extra for properties with renewable energy
The Energy Saving Trust has recently conducted a survey showing that over a third of Britons would pay extra for renewable sources such as solar, wind, or hydro power when considering buying a new property and just under half would consider adding renewable energy to their current property.
A green home with these sources is being seen as a great re-sell feature, adding value to the property, as well as being greener and fitting in line with government payment incentives being brought in next year for household generated electricity.Water heating and electricity generation can each have separate solar powered systems fitted. Having both installed together represents much better value than having them installed separately. A household with these systems installed can save over £250 off bills each year.
