Bulgaria praised by holiday home owners

A couple from the UK have spoken positively of their decision to buy a holiday home in Bulgaria.

Don and Michelle Gibbs conducted extensive research in order to find their ideal location before turning their attention the eastern European country.

Speaking to Quest Bulgaria magazine, the couple stated that they were drawn to the nation by a number of factors, such as its attractive scenery and affordable house prices.

As well as using it a holiday home, they also plan to let their property out when it would otherwise be left unoccupied.

Mr Gibbs commented: "We feel it's such a great place and a fantastic investment that we may even retire here in the future."

The couple recommended that people who are considering investing in Bulgaria should research their chosen area first, but urged people who have "fallen in love" with a certain place to "go for it".

This comes shortly after Knight Frank highlighted the nation as one of the fastest-growing property markets in Europe.
