Bulgaria set for 'influx of Britons'

Bulgaria set for 'influx of Britons' Bulgaria is readying itself for "an influx of Britons" as holidaymakers look to beat off the effects of the credit crunch.

According to the BBC, the holiday choices of people in the UK are being limited as the falling value of the pound compounds the effects of the credit crunch on finances.

And this could come as a boost for owners of property in Varna and other Bulgarian cities as Brits ditch more expensive and traditional destinations in favour of the Eastern European country.

The report cited Bulgaria's top coastal resorts as the major attraction for UK tourists, highlighting the Black Sea as a particularly popular location.

This could be good news for those with second homes in the region who are eager to rent their properties out to tourists during the off season.

Credit-strapped Brits may also be attracted by the low living costs on offer in Bulgaria, which could help save money against more traditional holiday locations.
