Buy-to-let property in Bulgaria 'a good option'

People looking to invest in property in
Bulgaria may wish to consider buying a house with a view to letting it in the future, according to a sector specialist.
Richard Bowser, editor of Property Investor News, says local knowledge is essential in determining which areas have homes with rising prices, so buyers can make an informed decision.
Often, potential landlords purchase houses close to where they live, which includes people in property in Bulgaria, as they are aware of the local customs and values, he states.
A lot of good, solid, long-term and experienced landlords who have got very good property portfolios - recession-proof - only buy within 15 to 20 miles of where they live," Mr Bowser explains.
The expert adds that dealing with greater distances and times is often about weighing up risks, which may prompt people intending to buy property in Bulgaria to carefully consider the home they purchase.
Meanwhile, Les Calvert, director of overseas portal Property Abroad, says interest in property in Bulgaria will continue to rise as the country has experienced reductions in house prices.
