Buyers in Bulgaria could enjoy high rental yields

Many Brits are turning to property in Bulgaria's winter sports resorts, with its affordability making it highly desirable for investors who are beginning to feel the strains of the credit crunch.
According to a report by the Daily Telegraph, ski resorts such as Borovets are becoming increasingly popular for UK buyers who can't afford to purchase property at home.
Indeed, one homeowner told the newspaper that she had decided to invest in Bulgaria because she did not have the funds to buy a house in the UK.
By purchasing an apartment at the Pirin Golf and Country Club in Bansko - a "prime location" in one of the country's leading ski resorts - Samantha Emery, from Watford, now gains profit from renting to tenants.
With properties in the region starting from as little as £40,000, investors who follow suit could enjoy potentially high yields as skiers and holidaymakers flock to the region.
The Daily Telegraph recently reported that an increasing number of European and Russian investors were also looking to
Bulgaria's Borovets region as they sought to snap up luxury newbuilds near the resort.
