Check progress of property in Dubai

People who have bought
property in Dubai which is under construction will be able to check the progress of their house online next week.
The Real Estate Regulatory Agency (Rera) has released the new service, which will go live next week and will give monthly updates on projects currently being built in the emirate.
Called the Independent Progress Monitoring Report, the service will have photos of the building work, showing people with property in
Dubai the progress on site.
It will also give details of the stages reached and what is still left to do before people can move into their property in Dubai.
The economic downturn has led some people to become concerned about the project and whether it will be delayed, with this service aiming to reassure people.
Marwan bin Ghalita, the chief executive of Rera, still described the sector as a booming market, despite reports of drops in values of property in Dubai.
Nomura Securities's analyst Chet Riley recently predicted Dubai will see an additional 30,000 units of property in the 2009-10 period.
