Hope for expat landlords burnt by Spanish sun

Hope for expat landlords burnt by Spanish sun

A recent report indicates that problems with troublesome tenants in rented accommodation has tripled over the past two years.

Due to the massive tumble in property prices in Spain many investors have struggled to cope with the affordability of their investment. Many have made their purchases with a view to retirement & with a suffering pound this has meant a large reduction in the buying power of their savings & pensions.

Consequently, as selling a property in Spain remains hugely loss inducing, many owners are now renting out their investment in the Spanish property market in a bid to hold onto their investment for better times. However, investor-owners are not the only ones financially struggling as entrenched tenants are now becoming harder to handle, & unprotected rental agreements are being reneged upon.

Paragon Advance Espana offer a scheme for protecting rental income, which on average cuts arbitration between landlord & tenant from about 18 months down to 4 months, representing a huge saving for those with mortgaged property.
