Investors 'eyeing commercial property in Dubai'

People looking to invest in overseas real estate may wish to turn their attention towards commercial
property in Dubai, according to one sector expert.
Amine Hamdani, a vice-president at specialist real estate consultancy CBRE Hotels, recently told Emirates Business that there is still a lot of interest in the city's market.
He said that potential buyers have their eyes on a number of current developments, with the aim of investing just before prices beginning to rise again.
"It still makes sense to invest in the hotels market across the region and several opportunities are available," he told the publication.
Mr Hamdani added that at the moment very few deals on commercial property in
Dubai have gone through because many developers have been dominating the region, though this is soon likely to change.
In other news, Omniyat Properties has commenced the handover of 544 residential units as part of the first phase of a project entitled The Square, which is situated in
Al Mamzar.
