It is a 'good time' to buy property in Bulgaria

People looking to invest in property in Bulgaria should do so now, an industry expert asserts.

Simon Zutshi, founder of Property Investors Network, says people should buy below the market value to "give yourself a bit of a buffer".

He comments: "It's a good idea to buy as if prices will never go up again. You are buying because you are buying a good asset, as it's giving you good cash flow - it's a good return on your investment."

People buying property in Bulgaria may find it easier in light of reductions in house prices and a drop in rental rates, which can free up cashflow, he says.

Mr Zutshi adds that it is possible to get a good deal at the moment and if house prices then go up following the investment, it is clearly a bonus.

Industry magazine Quest recently declared that buying a home in the eastern European country was a "sound property investment".
