Love affair with property in Spain 'will continue'

Overseas travellers are continuing to visit property in
Spain in spite of the global recession, according to a sector specialist.
Skyscanner.net recently revealed property in Spain dominates the top ten destinations for people venturing from the
UK, with five areas of the country making the list.
Malaga,
Alicante,
Tenerife,
Palma and
Murcia were all included in the index, highlighting the ongoing popularity of the country with investors.
Julia Norton, sales manager at the new Champneys
Marbella resort, says that many buyers' demands are changing as they become more selective about which property in Spain they purchase.
"Having worked in the
Spanish property market for nearly a decade I firmly believe that Spain is an enduring market and has something for everyone," she comments.
Mike Whiting, managing editor at Holiday Extras, says the country consistently retains its popularity with people going overseas, highlighted by a deluge of bookings in the past few weeks.
