People 'not giving up' on staying in property in Bulgaria

People are refusing to give up on plans to stay in property in
Bulgaria, despite the economic downturn, a specialist asserts.
A spokeswoman for Thomson and First Choice, which recently merged, says while many individuals are willing to sacrifice things like luxury foods and spending on cars, not many people will give up travelling to overseas accommodation.
She says a key reason for this is that the British weather is often too gloomy for many people, particularly at summer time when people expect sun, so they are packaging up and heading to stay in property in Bulgaria and other areas where it is hot.
"Whatever people are giving up - be it moving house or a new car - they are not giving up their summer holiday abroad to the sun," the representative explains.
Her comments follow the recent publication of statistics compiled by the companies, which show that 88 per cent of people will seek to cut back in other areas before reducing the amount they spend on travelling to stay in property in Bulgaria.
