People travelling to Bulgaria 'should not be worried'

People considering moving to property in
Bulgaria should not be worried by the recent collapse of some airlines, according to an industry body.
Frances Tuke, a spokeswoman for ABTA - The Travel Association, says those travelling overseas have little danger of their flights being cancelled at the last minute.
XL holidays announced it was ceasing trading in September last year, citing "volatile prices" as a key factor in their downfall.
She explains: "It's certainly not that alarming. Last year we did see a very big failure in XL, and that happens about once every ten years, a failure of that magnitude."
People who are thinking about travelling to property in Bulgaria should consider taking out financial protection beforehand to protect them in the veent of an airline collapsing, Ms Tuke adds.
Although such events are likely to happen more often during the economic downturn, the expert concludes that those who have carefully planned their journey should be secure.
