People 'will continue travelling' to property in Bulgaria

People 'will continue travelling' to property in Bulgaria Airlines will continue to fill planes taking people to property in Bulgaria, according to a sector expert.

UBM Aviation subsidiary OAG says carriers will continue selling seats regardless of the economic downturn, as the late booking trend will ensure traveller numbers remain steady.

David Beckerman, vice president at the market intelligence analyst, forecasts that the peak summer months for people venturing to stay in property in Bulgaria could reverse the slight downward trend in figures seen since November last year.

"Travellers have become late bookers and, particularly as relatively good values remain available in the market, passengers may book even later this year," he explains.

Mr Beckerman adds that people are willing to travel to accommodation overseas, such as property in Bulgaria, so airlines will maintain capacity.

In related news, Courtney Wylie, managing director of Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, recently said there is a "higher concentration" of second homes in mainland Europe, which includes property in Bulgaria.
