Property in Bulgaria 'great for investment'

People considering purchasing an overseas home as an investment may wish to put money into property in Bulgaria, according to a new report.

A recent survey by German website Simplyzigzag.de ranked the country in the top ten places in the world for real estate investment, putting the nation in fourth position, the Pari Daily reports.

The whole Balkan area was well represented in the index, with Croatia ranking in the top three, suggesting the popularity of property in the region with buyers from abroad.

According to the news provider, the survey asked the opinion of foreign homeowners which is currently the world's best location for investing in a home, with property in Bulgaria a popular option.

Meanwhile, Luke Fredberg, a spokesperson from TripAdvisor, has advised people staying in property in Bulgaria to take time out to sample local culture and traditions in order to find out more about the country.
