Property in Dubai 'a dream come true'

A competition winner has decided to spend his winnings on a property in Dubai, it has been revealed.

Hassan Yousef Ahmed, who won one million dirhams in a Dubai Bank cash prize draw, has revealed that purchasing a home in the country has always been his dream.

Earlier this year, the IT professional placed AED 300,000 (£50,000) into an account with the bank and was shocked to be named as the winner of the top prize, but knew instantly what the money would be spent on.

"I have been keen to purchase a property in Dubai and, as a Kunooz winner, I can now pursue this dream. My wife and I look forward to our new home," he states.

He added that the house was "quite a blessing" in the current economic climate and times of financial uncertainty.

Andrew Covill, head of investment sales at LLJ Property, adds that there has been a "dramatic increase" in demand for property in Dubai, illustrating the popularity of homes in the emirate.
