Property in Spain 'still popular'

Property in
Spain is still the most popular with travellers looking to stay in overseas accommodation, according to a sector expert.
Courtney Wylie, managing director of Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, says coastal homes in particular are showing an enduring appeal despite the global economic downturn.
She says there are a lot of holiday homes available for people looking to buy a place in the sun.
"Places like … the Canary Islands and Costa del Sol are the most popular destinations enquired about by travellers," Ms Wylie explains.
She adds that these areas are the favourites for people buying a second property in Spain, with overseas investors likely to be attracted by the great weather and way of life.
According to recent research published by On the Beach, staying in property in Spain has become more popular with people venturing abroad this year, with the Balearics and Canaries both experiencing a nine per cent increase in bookings.
