Russia spies investment opportunities in Bulgaria
Real estate in Bulgaria is increasingly under the scrutiny of Russian investors, who are quickly seizing the opportunities of a market at rock bottom.
The trend comes from a report produced by Russian company MIEL Distant property management, who cover the real estate markets in about 20 countries.
The figures show that 25% of enquiries they received were from investors looking for property to buy in Bulgaria, closely followed by Turkey at 17%, and then Spain at 13% of their enquiries.
The interesting point is that the company states that all of their Russian investors who expressed interest in Bulgaria, actually bought in Bulgaria.
Speculative investors may note that given the hard history & nature of the country, Russian investors are no fools and are making the most of low market values, a wide diversity of property and a simplified buying scheme.
The question is whether UK speculators will be left out in the cold ?
