Spain recommended to property buyers

Foreign property buyers have been encouraged to consider purchasing a home in southern Spain.

Amanda Lamb, presenter of A Place in the Sun on Channel 4, said the European country could be a particularly good option for lifestyle buyers.

This, she stated, is because ongoing economic problems across the world have forced down property values in many parts of the world.

Therefore, foreign property buyers could be able to snap up a relative bargain in a highly desirable location.

Ms Lamb commented: "Bizarrely enough now is a fantastic time to buy because there are such great bargains to be had."

She added that if property investors are willing to "ride out this storm", they could benefit from capital appreciation when the market picks up again.

According to Conti Financial Services, Spain is currently the most popular location among foreign property buyers from the UK.
