Value of property in Bulgaria 'on the rise again'

Value of property in Bulgaria 'on the rise again' Experts are estimating that property in Bulgaria will begin to increase in value again, which may boost the need to purchase a home before prices rise again.

A new report by the National Real Property Association reveals that the decline in the cost of real estate in the country has now bottomed out after decreasing for the last few months.

According to the figures, the price of property in Bulgaria reached a "psychological minimum" of between €700 (£610) and €1000 per sq m at the end of February.

New statistics from March and April now indicate that popularity is increasing, which may prompt many buyers to return to the market.

The number of deals made in those two months also rose, with significantly more transactions taking place than in the period from December 2008 to February this year.

In other news, international toy store Jumbo recently announced it is to open more commercial property in Bulgaria, with two stores planned for construction over the next two years.
