The house and the Valberg ski resort are less than an hour from Nice. A daily shuttle service links the Nice airport and train station to Beuil and Valberg. House is walking distance from the Beuil shuttle drop-off location.

House is in Beuil and is built within the peaceful Mercantour National Park, and is short walking distance to a ski lift where you can purchase your lift tickets. All ski lifts interlink. From the house, one can ride ski lifts and ski to downtown Valberg to enjoy its many restaurants. Valberg is a five-minute drive away.

The beuil/valberg ski resort has over 130 km of slopes for skiing and cross-country skiing. It has 26 ski lifts and 20 hectacres are covered by artificial snow when needed.

Sledding and cross-country skiing is possible most anywhere and you have your own private sledding slopes by the house. Skidoos (motorized ski sleds) and Quads (4 wheeled motorbikes) are available for rent, Adventure Park (various challenging activities like rock climbing), the Little Bear Ski School for children, and Ice-skating are all available five minutes away in Valberg.

The Valberg resort has majestic hiking trails and allows hiking access to the slopes year-round, even if you are not skiing. Hiking the slopes is fantastic any time of year, even with small children. During winter several restaurants are open up on the slopes and making perfect hiking destinations. During summer, the slopes bloom with endless fields of flowers and perfect for a picnic.

While Valberg is loaded with busy restaurants, Beuil is full of charm. Just a kilometer from the house is the heart of Beuil's centuries old cobblestone alleyways built long before the automobile. A walk through Beuil, the perfect Alpine village, will never be forgotten. Beuil offers several excellent restaurants, a small grocery with fresh meats, tennis and basketball courts, and an ornate 400 year old church.
