On the way to the capital city Nairobi – which can be reached in an hour – you climb up hill to the spectacular Rift Valley views – where the savannah plains spread before you. In the opposite direction you pass several Lodges at the next rift valley lake – Lake Elementaita. Then within an hour you have reached Nakuru – Kenya’s fourth largest Town – with its volcanic rift valley lake and game reserve. Heading north out of Naivasha, again on tarmac roads, you will reach the Aberdare’s National Park with its abundant game and famous Tree Tops lodge.
