“Villa Daisy” has a comfortable open plan living/dining kitchen area, with a ground floor, wet room, private rear courtyard with barbecue and easy access to the communal pool. On the first floor is another wet room, two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with two single beds, ample wardrobe space and drawer units provide easy holiday living. A spiral staircase leads to the roof terrace, providing fantastic views, and a great barbecue and sunbathing area for those sun lovers.

All windows and the patio doors have mosquito nets and there is a solar panel on the roof. The bedroom patio doors can also tilt for maximum comfort. The patio and window shutters make it very secure when the owner is absent.

The small private development, “Mandarin Grove” consists of only 4 apartments and 4 houses, with communal swimming pool and jacuzzi. The development is gated and very safe for children. There are no cars on site and the service manager lives there on a permanent basis.

The beautiful village of Fodele is very safe and crime free with an authentice Cretan ambience. A working village and open year round Fodele is only 25 minutes drive from Heraklion airport and a few minutes from beautiful local beaches, The nearest beach is a 3 mins drive, 30 mins walk, and the beautiful resorts of Agia Pelagia and Lygaria just an 8 mins drive away. Local transport and taxis are readily available. Mandarin Grove is in the centre of the village, in an elevated, secluded private position, between two orange groves and next to the beautiful village church, yet only a few seconds walk from the local tavernas and the town square, providing easy access to all the local amenities and transport.

The village is divided by a fresh water stream running from the mountains to the sea. The stream with its own flock of ducks, is bridged in several places and is flanked by several Tavernas; the food is excellent. The valleys around produces Crete’s largest orange crops and the hillsides are covered with orange groves, fragrant pine and cypress trees. A beautiful location. Fodele also enjoys fame as the birth place of EL Greco, the famous renaissance painter. A recommended location for holidays and all year round living.
