Bulgaria, near Byala

Property situated in a picturesque village between the towns of Byala and Popovo. The village offers all basic facilities such as food shops, post office, medical care, bus services, etc. There are other properties owned by British and Italian people and some of them are living in the village. The property is accessible via asphalt road trough all seasons. Few kilometres away there is a big dam lake suitable for fishing.

Small brick built house in overall good condition, situated near the main road of the village, and only about 200 m from a pine-tree forest. The house is single-storied and comprises of two bedrooms, living room and a kitchen. As it had been uninhabited for some years now, the property naturally would require some renovating works to be carried out.

Outside the house is the yard, spreading over 6550 sq. m. of land. There is an additional outbuilding which could be converted into additional living area, or even into a second house. The land had been split into two plots – one is in regulation and it has the house and the outbuilding, and the other is an agricultural land. The plot of land in regulation is 950 sq. m. and the other one – 5600 sq. m. As the property is within the borders of the village, there is no problem to convert the agricultural land to a residential.

The property is only about 2 km away from 2 lakes suitable for fishing. There are other British people owning properties in this and the surrounding villages, and some of them are living permanently there. The nearest village is well known with its natural, mineral spring-water fountains and a factory set on it, bottling the water, which is with neutral PH suitable for every day use.

Property with great potential at very attractive price! Do not miss out

The District

Ruse Region includes a part of the hilly Danube Plain, the Danube riverside plain of Pobrezhie and part of Ludogorie lowlands. It is bounded by the regions of Silistra, Razgrad, Targovishte and Veliko Tarnovo, and borders Romania to the north with the Danube River as a boundary. Some of the big rivers are the Yantra and the Rusenski Lom.

The region is important for the national transport system. The Danube River is linked through the European waterway system with the Mein and the Rhine rivers and connects the North Sea with the Black Sea. The first railroad line in Bulgaria – Ruse–Varna, built in 1866, crosses the region. Important roads and railways connect the region with the rest of the country and the only bridge over the Danube on Bulgarian territory connects the country with Romania. The middle point of the bridge marks the boundary between the two countries.

Protected areas on the territory of the region include the Rusenski Lom Nature Park, which comprises the picturesque canyon of the river valley, rock formations near the villages of Pisanets and Mechka, and the Orlova Chuka Cave.

Vestiges of prehistoric life in the region have been found in the Orlova Chuka Cave and in the mound of Ruse. Thracians, living in the area around the 4th c. BC, have left about 250 mounds. The Thracian silver treasure, discovered near the village of Borovo, known as the Ruse Treasure, is notable for the fine skilful decoration of animals’ figures and mythological scenes. The castles built during the Roman times to defend the Danube frontier include Sexaginta Prista (near Ruse), Jatrus (near the village of Krivina), Tigra (near the village of Marten), etc. The rock churches of Ivanovo are notable cultural landmarks of the region and they are included in the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage. The medieval fortress of Cherven can be also visited. In the 19th century Ruse is the gate for the European cultural influence on Bulgarian lands. The preserved patterns of urban architecture are among the most attractive and stylish throughout the country.
