The Holiday Park is at the foot of the mountains in Komárom-Esztergom County, 5 km from the Tatabánya crossroads of the M1 highway. The Holiday Park has an area 50 hectares. It is made attractive by the tranquility, silence and clean air provided by the woodland scenery. During the Turkish invasion the village was destroyed. Later on the Esterházy family populated it with German settlers: today the majority of its population is of German nationality. The village has about 1300 inhabitants. In the years of 1750 its population lived on coal-mining. The sight of the village are: the Catholic Church (today a historic monument), and in its neighborhood the Gothic fortress, the ruins of Vitány, hiding themselves in the middle of a 70 hectare-sized park-Wood. Detailed description of the ponds: Formerly, Tatabánya Coal Mines made sand pits, large holes on the area beside road, for the purposes of backfilling mines. (Tatabánya Coal Mines extracted sand from here in the 1950s.) From rainwater, groundwater and nearby watercourses, these pits filled with water and became water reservoirs. These areas with ponds are situated between the villages of Vertessomló and Környe. Due to mining activity, the springs feeding Környe watercourse went dry. Withdrawal of water from mines and its discharge into the watercourse have been terminated. Due to the absence of flow, the bed of watercourse has degraded. Water quality: The Komárom-Esztergom County Institute of National Public Health and Medical Officer Service carried out tests of water samples taken on 17th June, 2003. As far as quality is concerned, about one third of the total area needs repair. Oversize material should be picked out and replaced prior to hot asphalting. Works of phase 1: Road construction consisting of the following technological phases: preparation of earthwork surface, compaction, construction of bottoming from rubble z-60 and z-20 to be provided by the Customer, with thicknesses of 25-30 cm and 15-20 cm respectively. Road construction and compaction should be carried out to the standard currently in force and complying with first class quality. On both sides of the road, there will be shoulders from rubble z-20, with a width of 30 cm each, finished by compaction. During further phases of road construction, exits shall be constructed in four places, with a length of 10-15 m, and a connection to asphalted road under topographical lot no. 0585. Widening of asphalted access road under topographical lot no. 0585, on the side of the iron bars fence, started at 0.5 m from the fence, with a width of 6 m plus shoulders on both sides similar to the above, with a width of 30 cm each. The route of the road will continue towards Anglers? Camp, bending to the right, then, in front of the building, it turns back to the existing asphalted road which is to be widened in the similar manner as the road section mentioned above. (To sump up: the direction of access to the resort area will be arranged in such a way that the route of road under topographical lot no. Környe 0585 will be continued towards the Anglers? Camp, then, after a turnround, existing road section takes us directly to the entrance to the resort park.) After terrain correction, the parking lot in front of Anglers?
