The Resort
The Gardens of Atena is situated near the charming city of Lecce in the region of Puglia. The area is known for its beautiful coastline, landscapes, and beaches and is also home to some delightful olive groves, vineyards, and historic towns, all of which are within easy reach of the Gardens of Atena. Residents can enjoy access to a number of sporting facilities, including two outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, and a sports centre. Each apartment is are bright and spacious, and all have air conditioning, television, and their own veranda or balcony.

The two-bedroom apartments are in fact a studio combined with a one bedroom apartment.

Another reason to own an apartment here is the low cost of services and resort annual charges: € 1,200 will include all gas, electricity and water consumption, gardening, cleaning, security service etc.

Finance
Mortgages are available for all the apartments and good capital growth of around 8%. Access is no problem either, Brindisi airport is just 58 km away, and the roads of the region are well maintained.

Amphitheatre
The amphitheatre, during the summer months, hosts a series of events ranging from plays, jazz and classical concerts, cabarets. The warm evenings, perfumed air and beauty of the surroundings make it a perfect place to enjoy the music.

Sports & Leisure
Apart from all the beach and sea activities one can follow when you are staying at your apartment there is also the Acaia Golf Club close by so a morning's round of golf could be followed by an afternoon on the beach. The resort also has a football pitch and tennis courts for residents.

Swimming Pools
The resort boasts swimming pools for every taste: one for a serious workout while another has relaxing hydro massage jets coming from under the rocks and falls. There is also a children?s pool and wide solarium. Of course, there is a continual supply of drinks and food from the pool side bar.

Auditorium
The 200 seat auditorium is one of the gems of the resort. Ideal for shows or functions/banquets.

The Gardens of Atena
The names derives from Athena, the Greek Goddess of wisdom, civilization, craftsmanship and strategy. As Athens did not have a patron deity, Athena competed with Poseidon in order to win the city for herself, she immediately gained the love of the inhabitants, offering them the olive tree. Throughout history there has always been a close connection between the peoples of Puglia and Greece.

In the area
Within 5 minutes you can walk to the local town which has restaurants and bars and a mini-market. A shuttle service operates between the resort and the nearby beaches, and also to Lecce.

The town of Lecce is a great place to go for an evening meal, and explore the streets through the historic centre. There are often live concerts in the main piazza and a shuttle bus will take you there and collect you after your meal.

Within half an hour drive you will find Otranto on the south east coast. The city was probably founded by Greek colonists from the island of Crete. Explore the pretty streets and stop for an aperitif or meal on the restaurants along the harbour walls.

On the other side of the Lecce peninsular and also within half an hour is the historic town of Gallipoli on the south west coast. The town is home to some of the best fish restaurants in the area - especially at the harbour where the fish are landed each day so you know you can choose from the freshest catch.
