Isla Margarita

It’s location away from the Hurricanes made it an ideal hideaway for Pirates and Naval Ships, Harboured at San Carlos Borromeo Castle.

Today the beaches, diving, fishing, water sports and weather draw most visitors, but shopping in Porlamar, Nature Reserve of La Restinga and Historical Churches add to the attraction.
