About the village

The village of Strelec is located in the hilly area near the old capital of Bulgaria- Veliko Tarnovo. The first proofs for the existence of a settlement at that place are dated from the second bulgarian realm (XIIth century). The village itself was formed during the XVIIIth century in the middle of a huge forest, right next to the important road Svishtov-Popovo, close to the rivers Rositsa and Yantra, and also four lakes, which makes the area a real paradise for hunters and fishers. The local people are known as very honest and hard-working.
