Permission granted for 350m2 dwelling to be built in rural idyll close to town...
The Land of Milk & Honey We are delighted to exclusively offer a substantial plot of land for sale located in the rural idyll of Cukurbag, Kas. The current British owner has painstakingly secured all permissions necessary to build a substantial villa (up to 350m2) on the plot. As it is within the boundary of the village, the deeds may be transferred into foreign buyers names without complication. The plot, close to amenities is part of the local community but affords absolute privacy.
In our opinion this property offers a unique opportunity to the potential buyer; with the provenance, position and price, it is as rare as proverbial hens teeth.
As a guide; allow approximately £80,000 to build a 250m2 luxury villa with pool. Of course it is perfectly possible to erect a simpler structure for substantially less money.

About Cukurbag ('Chookerbaa')
The village has about 200 residents. Traditional village life consists of subsistence farming, tending vegetable plots and raising livestock - goats and cows. There are also artists from all parts of the world who have set up cottage studios producing pottery, fine art and sculptures. These artisans add a great deal of character to the village and and the famed Bohemian lifestyle of Kas in general.
The residents of the village are a cosmopolitan mix of ex-pats and local farming families. It is an area much sought after by long term foreign residents of Kas because it is a truly beautiful landscape, peaceful and close enough to dip in and out of town for entertainment and shopping with ease. Kas is a 10 minute drive of approximately 15 road kilometres. There you will find supermarkets, butchers, hairdressers etc. as well as some wonderful restaurants and a year round night life for entertainment.
Cukurbag is in a unique position being close to the relative hustle and bustle of Kas and yet providing absolute peace in natural surroundings. In the first few days of February the valley fills with the white blossoms of almond trees and the buzz of bees collecting honey from blossoms. One can grow a variety of citrus fruits including oranges, lemons, limes and apples. Vegetable gardens of almost any kind including herbs and spices will grow virtually year round. There are olive trees, oak, maple, pine and one of the largest cedar forests in the world is just over the next set of hills from the village. Truly the land of Milk and honey!
The ancient ruins of Phellos, a Lycian city of some prominence is just a short walk away. The land is immediately adjacent to the Lycian Way; 'One of the 10 most beautiful walks in the world' The Times. A fit walker can be enjoying the famous and spectacular ruins of Phellos within 40 minutes of the garden gate.
