On the outskirts of Le Mans, just 10 mns from the centre and TGV train station, and under 1 hour from Paris. This watermill, dating back to the XIII century, is built over the islands formed by 4 water courses. An idyllic spot for water-lovers. Originally the mill consisted of two separate buildings both with 2 wheels, since then it has "lost" 2 of the wheels and been connected at the first floor level, in order to become a character property, quite unique in its style as well as situation. To access the property, you have to cross a bridge (equipped with electric gates, videophone and lighting). The gardens are comprised of the five isles, all well looked after as well and equipped with low-power LED lights. The land measure around 2 acres, but if you include the water as well, you get to a surface of around 3 acres. The mill house itself, offers an entrance via the veranda (incorporating the central wheel, between the two buildings). A large lounge with its solid wooden door and XIII century lock, traditional fireplace and part of the mechanics from the old mill. There is also a fitted kitchen, large dining room with beamed ceiling and original feature fireplace. Upstairs you will find 4 bedrooms, two studies and the bathroom (bath and shower), all connected by a glazed corridor overlooking the gardens and rivers. In the loft space is a fifth bedroom as well as 3 other rooms. In the gardens, on the edge of the fastest flowing river you will find a small "house", which was originally the mills offices, in need of restoration, it also lends itself to being used for the housing of a hydro-electrical installation, after all the water rights are still existing! An ideal and unique property for evacuating the stress after a week in the City!
