This fermette has been modernised and extension work into the attached barn is underway (but not complete).
House
Ground floor
Whilst there is an entrance hall, the current owners tend to use the door into the kitchen as the principal entrance. This opens into a large kitchen / dining room (41 sq m) with a terracotta tiled floor, exposed stone walls, a high exposed beam ceiling, limestone charentaise fireplace and a variety of fitted units. From here a wide archway opens to the sitting room (26 sq m) with a terracotta tiled floor, exposed stone walls, patio doors to the rear garden, high exposed beam ceiling and a limestone fireplace. To one side of the room a door opens to the entrance hall (10 sq m) with exposed stone walls, an old stone "evier" (sink) and to one side, a ground floor WC.
Extension
The owners are currently in the process of converting some of the attached barn to habitable accommodation. This includes a room destined to be the kitchen (25 sq m) - the existing kitchen becoming a very spacious living room - and an ensuite bedroom (31 sq m in total). It is unlikely that the current owners will fit out these rooms but the plumbing and wiring will be in place.
First floor
The wooden staircase rises from the sitting room to the first floor landing, off which are three bedrooms (18.5 sq m, 18.5 sq m and 16.5 sq m), all three with exposed beam ceilings and one with a small balcony overlooking the rear garden and the village church beyond. Also off the landing is a bathroom (bath, shower, wash basin and WC).
Outbuildings
In addition to the barn space in the process of conversion, there is a large garage and a range of barns that form one side of the courtyard garden (about 200 sq m in total).
Garden
The house sits on a plot of 1626 sq m. To the front of the house is a courtyard garden with parking area, lawn and a number of mature trees. To the rear of the house is a walled garden, laid to lawn, with the swimming pool. This garden backs on to the church.
The house is double-glazed on the ground floor and much of the roofing has been reed. ADSL is available.
