The apartment ?Fonte Marcella? is called this way because it is very close to a spring known as ?Fontebella?, next to the so called Monte Frumentario: it was built in 1556 under order of the Governor of Assisi Marcello Tuto (who was from Siena and ordered it on behalf of the Pope).
