Location
Located in Le Marche, a region of central Italy, in the Apennines of Pesaro province, where Le Marche meets Umbria. It stands on a hill about 700 metres above sea level near the village of Apecchio. The surrounding countryside is rather special with green woods, majestic mountains and pure air.

This locality is famous for its truffles and in the town of Apecchio one of several important truffle fairs is held every October. Apecchio itself has a fossil museum and is home to Palazzo Ubaldini and other historical buildings. The town is also known for its mineral springs and is popular with tourists in the summer months. Le Marche (sometimes known in English as the Marches) runs from the Adriatic beaches of Italy to the mountainous Appenines.

DISTANCES: 45 km from Urbino, one of the most important art cities in the Marche region and seat of the ancient University, 45 km Gubbio, another pearl of the Umbria region. 27 km Città di Castello, 60 km Arezzo and abt. 70 km the Adriatic sea with sandy beaches (Fano), easily reachable with an hour s drive along a convenient dual carriageway. 5 km various shops and a supermarket and in a 5 km radius there are some inexpensive restaurants and pizzerias.
