`Lu Mulini Vecciu'
This small group of villa apartments are set in the village of Trinita D'Gulta, in the centre of the Northern coast, `Costa Paradise' with it's spectacular beaches, and clear seas.
The property, finished to the highest quality of workmanship inside and out, using local wood and stone as detail, and traditional Sardinian terra cotta roofing tiles to give a very pleasing look.
Each self-contained apartment consists of an independent entrance, a large lounge/dining room with kitchen area, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Each has a shaded veranda or garden area, some have a sea view and all have their own covered car park. Some apartments are slightly larger or smaller than the medium, which is 50 metres square. The apartments are fully furnished and will be ready to move in, one will only need to put their own personal touch, to achieve a wonderful `complete' holiday home. With the current market trends, the properties are a reliable investment, and there is always the possibility of renting the apartments, to holidaymakers, to make an additional income, if desired.
Trinita D'Gulta is a typical Sardinian village, with a delightful historic centre; there are all the facilities for shopping, bank, post office, chemist etc., as well as various restaurants and pizzerias. The village is set on the hillside, and has stunning views as one goes down to the seafront.
Isola Rossa is a local white sand beach with a Marina beside, the beach is shallow and safe for children and one can hire boats or go for trips to other parts of the island. There is another fabulous cove again with white sand, called La Marenedda. Both these beaches have various beach bars, gelaterias and restaurants where one can eat well, particularly the local fish, caught by the fishermen who take their boats out from Issola Rossa. One can of course buy fresh fish and lobsters from them.
Local Wine is excellent, as are the cheeses, look out in particular for `Pecorino' typical Sardinian sheep's cheese, local sausage, fruit and vegetables in season, all of which one can buy from various local producers, as one travels east or west along the coast road. In both directions from Trinita D'Gulta along this road, you will find a myriad of various beaches, from long stretches of white sand to coves and bays, all beautiful, with the clean clear seas of Sardinia.
The house is also well situated (about 90 mins.) for either Alghero airport where www.ryanair.com flies in from Stanstead (2 hour flight) and various other parts of the U.K., or Olbia airport where www.easyjet.com flies in from Gatwick (again 2 hours) and various other parts of the U.K., both companies are adding new flights all the time.
The island in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, is about the size of Wales, with a population of around 1.5 million, it is a natural paradise, and above all in Sardinia you will find tranquillity. With its miles of unspoilt coastline and countryside, it remains one of the few beautiful "undiscovered" holiday islands left in Europe and only 2 hours from the U.K.
