Local Area
The property is close to the mountain town of Consuma and to the famous road linking the Casentino valley to Florence. Closer to the property is the fortified monastery of Vallombrosa and the Chianti Rufina and Pomino wine growing regions. The Vallombrosa national park boundaries are also close by, the property is surrounded by a largely wooded landscape while farmland - vineyards and olive groves mainly, predominate further down the hillside.
