This has got to be the most beautiful piece of land I have seen in this extremely sought after location!
The south facing 2010m2 building plot has magnificent views over olive groves to the sea, the ancient hilltop old village and surrounding country side.
The land is on a gentle slope, with some terracing; not too much of a slope and not excessively “rocky” making it an ideal spot to build a house. Judging by the plants, herbs and vines growing on the plot, this is a good area for growing.
An unmade road leads past the plot and down to a secluded cove that can be accessed by a footpath.
As the road leading to the cove at Mikro Mourtias comes to a dead end very few cars pass by. A house on this plot would enjoy peace and quiet, but you would only be a 5 minute walk to a choice of shops, supermarkets and tavernas in the ancient old village.
This plot has planning permission for a 200m2 traditional style 4-bedroom villa with pool, but the plans and planning permission can be changed to suite your design and specification if required.
Building plots are getting very hard to find on Alonissos and many have problems with forestry restrictions. This plot has all the correct paper work and is the last available in this desirable area.
If you would like to build a house within walking distance of the sea and the old village, then this wonderful piece of land could be the one for you. By day the sea and village views are breathtaking and at night one can sit out and watch the twinkling village lights and ferry boats passing by out to sea.
The nearest beaches are at Megalos Mourtias and Mikro Mourtias. Megalos Mourtias is a favourite among the inhabitants of the Old Village, as they can walk down to it using a signed footpath in about 15-20 minutes. It is also highly accessible by car and/or motorbike - approx 5 minutes.
The beach is covered with smooth white pebbles. In the sea you will find silky smooth sand. There is a gentle slope, the water gradually getting deeper. You can find shade under the beach umbrellas or under the olive trees that grow a few meters away from the sea…
There are 2 tavernas on the beach and a third on the road just a few metres from the beach. All sell fresh fish and traditionally Greek food.
Contrary to its busy ‘Big brother’ the beach of Mikros Mourtias just 10 minutes by foot from the plot is a quiet beach with no facilities. The pebble beach is relatively small; there is a big patch of fine sand in the sea. The beach is encircled with rocky cliffs, creating breathtaking scenery. At the back of the beach are old olive trees where you can find good shade.
On its right end there is an old abandoned building that was once used by people living in the Old Village, when they wanted to visit the island of Skopelos.
It is very likely that when visiting you might be the only people there, so it really feels sometimes like it is your own private beach!!!
The water at both beaches is crystal clear with a beautiful silky blue colour. In order to get the most out of your visit in any of the beaches in Alonissos, it is a good idea to bring a mask and a snorkel, so that you can enjoy the underwater beauty and colour display. Even those that are not snorkel enthusiasts should be prepared to be dazzled by the beauty of the underwater scenery of Alonissos.

Access to the planed house is through a courtyard with front door opening in to a small hallway with WC. A door leads to a bedroom with shower room. A staircase leads to the first floor bedroom with large sun terrace and bathroom. From the hall a third door leads in to the open plan kitchen, 3 steps lead down to a lower level dining area with French doors to terrace. An archway leads through to the lounge with fireplace and French windows to the terrace and courtyard. A door and 2 steps lead to a further bedroom/office. The basement contains a guest studio with shower room and storage space.
