Arranging your Non-resident mortgage in Greece

Lending is based on affordability and this does not include any rental income from the property to be purchased unless this can be guaranteed by the management company for 2 years.

• Minimum loan amount: Euros 40,000
• Maximum: none, but must not exceed 80% of the valuation or purchase price (whichever is the lower)
• Proof of income is required in all cases
  
• • If employed - copies of your last six months' payslips and copies of your latest two P60s plus copies of your last 6 months' personal bank statements
  • If self-employed -  copies of your last three years' audited acounts and copies of both your last 12 months' business and last 6 months' personal bank statements

Term: maximum 25 years up to age 70
Currency: Euros only
Current variable interest rate: from approx. 5.00%

All existing liabilities, including any mortgage/rent payment, loans, maintenance (i.e. divorce) payments plus your proposed Greek mortgage payments will be taken into consideration when being assessed for the mortgage.

Example for Greek mortgage: Repayment mortgage of approx Euros 100,000 over a period of 25 years at an interest rate of approx. 4.75% = approx. Euros 646 capital and interest per month = a total approx. amount payable over the term of Euros 155,040, excluding other fees.
